Todd Energy recognised for two decades of community partnership in Taranaki

Todd Energy has been honoured for its longstanding commitment to the Taranaki region, receiving the first-ever NP Partners Community Impact Award at a 2025 end-of-year celebration.

Over the past 20 years, Todd Energy has proudly invested more than $9 million in local projects through the NP Partners Programme, helping to foster a vibrant and connected Taranaki community.

During the event, Todd representatives joined in celebrating the wide array of community initiatives made possible by the NP Partners Programme. Todd Energy’s involvement has supported cornerstone projects such as WOMAD, the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, and the Len Lye Centre, each contributing to greater connection and wellbeing across the region.

In recent years, Todd Energy has also backed initiatives like Destination Play Kāwaroa and Otapaiia Marine Park, creating new opportunities for play, learning, and engagement with nature – further strengthening community bonds and supporting whānau throughout Taranaki.

Speaking at the event and accepting the award on behalf of Todd Energy, CEO Mark Macfarlane shared how he has witnessed firsthand the positive impact of Todd Energy’s community partnerships in shaping the Taranaki region.

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Amy McKenzie introduced Todd’s new approach to partnership and community funding, as Todd extends its operational footprint beyond Taranaki.

“Todd’s evolution is about creating shared value – working alongside communities and tangata whenua to co-create meaningful opportunities in Taranaki and across New Zealand,” Amy McKenzie said.

Beyond Todd’s support for the NP Partners Programme, Todd Energy has invested an additional $10 million in broader regional initiatives, bringing our total community contribution from 2003 to 2025 to approximately $20 million.
