Facility

PTF is used for storing condensate, which is delivered by pipeline from Todd Energy’s Kapuni Production Facility and OMV’s Maui Production Station.

The condensate stored at PTF is exported via pipeline to the Newton King Tanker Terminal (NKTT) at Port Taranaki.

PTF has five storage tanks, with two currently in service.

Operation

Todd Energy operates PTF and monitors the facility remotely from the Kapuni control room. Operations staff visit PTF weekly for equipment and security checks, while maintenance crews are on-site as required.

As an Upper Tier Major Hazard Facility, PTF adheres to strict safety standards and practices to ensure the protection of people, the community, and the environment. A dedicated PTF Safety Case ensures the facility's design and operation comply with safe onshore hydrocarbon storage and Major Hazard Facility Regulations.
