Todd Energy has enjoyed a long and positive partnership with Ngāti Mutunga iwi.
Late last year, we confirmed a three-year partnership extension with Ngāti Mutunga, enabling the continuation of some hugely important mahi, including both the existing Taramoukou conservation project and the launch of some new freshwater projects.
To celebrate this ongoing partnership, Todd Energy employees and Ngāti Mutunga iwi came together with their whanau to share in an official signing ceremony which included a powhiri, followed by the official signing outside one of the whare tamariki, and then the planting of some very special Pohutukawa, which were sourced from an endangered, historically significant stand of Pohutukawa
planted by Ngāti Mutunga ancestors while taking on water at Paparoa for the Tokomaru waka, and which had been grown at Atawhai Nursery for the last five years.
Todd Energy is incredibly proud of this important partnership, which is just one of many examples of the genuine connections we share with our iwi and hapū partners.
