Todd Energy's exploration permits
Nimitz – Offshore North Taranaki (PEP 57080)
Todd Energy holds a 50% interest and is operator of the joint venture with Beach Energy. The permit was granted in December 2014. Initial work will concentrate on evaluating several identified prospects and leads.
Karewa – Offshore Northern Taranaki (PEP 38602)
Todd Energy holds a 100% interest in the permit which contains the Karewa gas discovery. The permit is currently under a review to investigate the best options for appraisal, development and gas marketing for the discovery.
Opunake – Offshore Central Taranaki (PEP 53374)
Todd Energy holds the 966 km2 permit, with 100% interest. The permit is adjacent to the Maui Mining Permit. Evaluation of the permits prospectivity has focussed on maturing the Vulcan and Opunake NE leads. Todd acquired the Trestles 3D seismic in 2015 to further mature these prospects in readiness for a drilling decision.
South Basin Boundary – Offshore Southern Taranaki (PEP 60094)
Todd Energy holds a 100% interest in this 2151 km2 permit. The permit was granted in December 2015. Initial work is concentrating on reprocessing 2D seismic and studies to gain a greater understanding of various prospects and leads within the permit.
Tuihu - Onshore Taranaki (PEP 60273)
Todd Energy holds a 100% interest in this 219 km2 permit. The permit is adjacent to the Todd Energy Mangahewa and McKee fields and was granted in December 2016. Initial work will concentrate on processing recently acquired 3D seismic and merging with adjacent 3D surveys.
